BB4.6-Safety Assessment

Elias Koumoulos

  • Description

Occupational risk and safety assessment based on the tiered approach (EN 17058:2018) and the control banding methodology (ISO 12901-2:2014). This includes preliminary risk assessment, on-site measurement of airborne substances (particles of sizes 10nm-25μm and TVOCs), and off-line analysis of substances collected through air sampling.

  • Standardisation

EN 17058:2018, ISO 12901-2:2014

  • Innovation features

In-depth assessment of exposure to airborne particles by adapting the principles of EN 17058:2018 to the needs of the construction sector. Coupling with toxicological analysis of collected air samples enables the mitigation of exposure to the most potent pollutants.
