Predict optical and thermal properties of translucent, semitransparent and transparent building envelope materials and systems. The service is based on the free-Software WINDOW. WINDOW provides a large database of glazing units and shading devices that can be combined to calculate properties of multilayer systems. New materials can be imported in the WINDOW-database through the program OPTICS. Optical calculations are based on the algebraic method “Klems”. Thermal calculations are based on the ISO 15099 standard.
