BB3.1-Simulation

Belén Hernández Gascón

  • Description

Simulation by means of Finite Elements Method (FEM) considering mainly mechanical field.
Analysis of mechanical performance of materials and components under different assumptions:
-Material nonlinearities and damage
-Static and dynamic loads
-Temperature effects on mechanical behaviour
-Vibrations and natural frequency extraction

Specifically, the service results from provider A are:

Mechanical response of the component (i.e.: stress, deformation, displacement, temperature distribution)

Provider B:

Estimation of mechanical properties and analysis of mechanical performance of materials and components under different assumptions:

-Material microstructure and phases
-Mechanical nonlinearities
-Static and dynamic loads
-Temperature effects on mechanical behaviour

Specifically, the service results from provider B are:

Mechanical properties of the material (i.e.: Young modulus) and characteristics (ortotropy, isotropy).
Mechanical performance of the component (i.e.: stress distribution, load deflection curves)

  • Standardisation

While no specific certification is followed, the service employs procedures that align with internationally recognized standards.

  • Innovation features

The service integrates cutting-edge FEM techniques with multiscale analysis and experimental process measurements. These innovations enable precise, computationally efficient simulations, delivering robust solutions for complex fluid-thermal interactions in engineering designs.

Pricing

Provider A:
It depends on the complexity and type of analysis required.
Provider B:
Expected cost:
Cost is estimated on a pm (135-155h/pm) basis, considering an average of the concurrent costs from manpower, specific commercial software licensing (if it is the case) and computing hardware use.
Average cost rage: 4000-6000€/pm + Indirect Costs
Pricing:
Proposal of pricing based on a "(Cost estimation) *BCR=Price" criterion. BCR parameter may be variable case by case and established based on a complexity/manpower expertise/singular hardware and software use basis. BCR =[1,1-1,75]

Service delivery timeframe

10-30 working days (80h-240h). Depending on the complexity timeframe can be expanded.
